Mayfield Foundation's Art & Science of Healing Raises $100,000

The Mayfield Education & Research Foundation's The Art & Science of Healing provided over 200 guests with an eclectic program that featured creative presentations, interactive exhibits, and uplifting dance performances. The event, billed as "the hippest science fair in town," took place at Fueled Collective in Norwood. Guests included Mayfield leadership, area hospital leaders, grateful patients, and interested donors. Approximately $100,000 was raised to support the programs of the Mayfield Foundation.

Highlights from the event included a salsa performance by former world-ranked salsa champion Jenni McGee; a hands-on tutorial on surgical drilling; a demonstration of the stethoscope of the future by Mount St. Joseph University physician assistant students; ballet basics with Donna Anderle, instructor at the Otto M. Budig Academy at the Cincinnati Ballet; and other demonstrations by Medtronic, MicroVention, Nuvasive, Stryker, Abbott and Nevro. The dance group PONES also gave an energetic flash mob performance.
