MAYFIELD FOUNDATION PRESENTS 'THE ART & SCIENCE OF HEALING II'

CINCINNATI – An appearance by Cincinnati native Jim Harris, the young adventure photographer who sustained a severe spinal cord injury while kite-skiing in Patagonia, will be one of the highlights of The Art and Science of Healing II, the Mayfield Education & Research Foundation's annual fundraising event.

The Art & Science of Healing II will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 12, at the 21C Museum Hotel downtown.

Guests will be invited to mingle with Mr. Harris and other patients who are being recognized for their will and determination to beat their illness with a healthy lifestyle. Guests also will have an opportunity to:

  • Enjoy healthy, locally sourced cuisine from the hotel's Metropole restaurant
  • Become active participants in health and wellness installations that include treadmills, yoga, massage and physical therapy
  • Learn about the latest in brain and spine research from funded researchers through innovative and interactive displays
  • Enjoy short films about Mr. Harris and Jed Hartings, PhD, a star neuroscience researcher

Individual tickets begin at $50, and sponsorships begin at $1,000.
